What are old (classic) slot machines?
Old slot machines are often referred to as 3 reel slots. Most newer games run on 5 reels. In the past there were only technical slot machines with real reels, today you can only find them in museums. Nevertheless, there are still a lot of fans of the classic slot machines. Even old 3 reel slots are now available as video slots. This is a computer program with a random principle and not technically constructed rollers that physically rotate. The implementation of technically rotating reels online would be rather difficult anyway.
Most of the time, each of the three reels has three icons. So that a 9 x 9 playing field is created. Experience has shown that there are 1 to 5 win lines on this set of reels. The first lies horizontally in the middle of the reels. Two other possible lines are located horizontally in the upper and lower part of the roller set. The last two lines that appear in advanced classic slots run diagonally from top to bottom and from bottom to top, starting on reel one.
The majority of all winning combinations consist of three symbols of the same type, although some machines have special rules. Often the symbols consist of stars, "BAR" symbols or bells. The hit with classic slot machines are fruit symbols. This is the reason why the name "Fruit Slot" was created. A compartment with a fruit chewing gum used to open at the bottom. Advanced slots have a risk ladder, joker or even a progressive jackpot. Some machines run on two sets of reels. As soon as you have made a profit and are ready to bet on the game for even higher profits, you can change the set of reels and join the big game. The pay table and all necessary information about the game are mostly integrated into the layout.
